THE BLOODY THUMBS
The Bloody Thumbs were a four piece group of reformed rock legends, famous for their sexually charged lyrics and serious licks and riffs. The founding members Doug Douglas and Mike Michaelson met in rehab (following Doug’s alcohol and drug dependency and Mike’s ongoing treatment for sex addiction) during the summer of 1990 and after a couple of unplanned acoustic sets, came together as The Bloody Thumbs.
Doug and Mike work through their issues together on stage and have been joined by various other musicians along the way. The current line up of The Bloody Thumbs features Doug Douglas on guitar and vocals, Mike Michaelson on Bass and vocals, Stefan Stevens on guitar and vocals and JFK on drums and caffeine.
This comedy rock outfit were all about the music, the humour and entertaining their fans. Matt focused on photo, video and podcasts, with a series of YouTube episodes and SoundCloud recordings available for download. He even managed to get an EP recorded and launched before the band went their separate ways!
