Hello, I'm Matt Jackson and I am Socially-M
It's kind of a superhero alter-ego sort of thing. Or two professional personalities in one body. One online for other people's businesses and one for my own for professional speaking. Something like that anyway, but I am both Matt and Socially-M at the same time. Still with me? Good.
Around 20 years ago someone asked me to look into how they could use social media for a FTSE 500 business and the rest, as they say, is history. That initial conversation and piece of research has led me to a career in social media during which I've won some awards, launched some loveable brands, worked with some amazing businesses, delivered speeches at some unbelievable places, met some incredible people and made some lifelong friends. I haven't written a book, yet, but I am always kicking a few ideas around. Today I am an award winning Social Media Marketer, Thinker, Trainer, Speaker, Guy.
As an advocate of respect-driven marketing for all things organic online and a professional speaker, I've delivered my message in person to people all around the United Kingdom and occasionally outside of it too. I've presented to organisations in amazing places including Microsoft UK Campus, Henley Business School Whiteknights Campus, The International Institute of Celebrants, The Nigerian Teachers Association, The Rebel Business School and The Public Sector Social Media Conference, to name just a few. I've also had my work featured in the media by some well known organisations including BBC South Today, Hootsuite, City AM and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, amongst others.
I am also still completely blown away by the occasions that people like Gary Vaynerchuck, Tony Hawk and Juliet Landau reply to things I post online.
