POPUP BUSINESS SCHOOL

The PopUp Business School was founded in 2012 by Alan Donegan and Simon Paine.  After several large coffees, they both realised that in order to find, inspire and help people start businesses (especially those people who've got it tough) you need to take a completely different approach. The very first event was run in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset in partnership with Alliance Homes and they got some incredible results.  Fast forward to today and they've partnered with many Housing Associations (and a university or two) to develop their approach further.

Having been selected for the Deloitte Super Pioneers Programme the team is growing fast and looking forward to helping thousands of people in the UK and across the world make money doing what they love.  They like to live what they teach and teach what they live.

CONSULT

The PopUp Business School creates so many success stories that Matt wanted their social channels to reflect that, he also wanted to use that enthusiasm to encourage further attendees to what was arguably their largest event to date; #PopUpReading. 

CAPTURE

During their two week #PopUpReading event Matt attended to live-tweet, capture photography and film content for future use. He engaged with attendees on social media and produced live content for their website.

CREATE

Through targeted use of Twitter and Instagram Matt was able to sell-out all tickets before the event itself and gain the attention of BBC South Today who joined us for several days of filming and shared our story on national television.

PRESENT

They even roped Matt into presenting an hour long talk and several social media for business workshops with their attendees over the course of the two weeks. Something he's hoping to get more involved with in future.

MANAGE

Matt managed the day to day running of their social media channels, their attendee support groups and outreach programme, finding attendees for their upcoming events and acting as their online customer service agent.
