ONE PLANET APPAREL

An ethical, fair trade and anti-slavery brand, One Planet Apparel was founded in 2015 to offer shoppers an informed choice and an alternative to the factory produced products of high street brands. They work closely with the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) an independent, non-profit organisation that works with companies and factories to improve labour conditions for garment workers.

We all have a right to a safe and healthy work environment, a living wage, a legally binding contract. We all have a right to be free from discrimination and harassment, to choose our work freely. We all have a right to fair and reasonable working hours. And our children have a right to go to school.

Matt worked with One Planet Apparel to establish an online brand presence with supporters and a social media community around the world, developing ambassadors in the music industry, extreme sports and bmx community. By sponsoring bands, who wear the branded clothing on stage, they bridge traditional marketing techniques with digital and social media marketing, building a community who are invested in the brand and it's anti-slavery message.

Their social media channels continue to gain engagement and followers, who regularly generate their own content, sharing the brand around the world. Matt is working with them to improve their content, adding video and Instagram imagery to drive further endorsement.

CONSULT

Matt worked closely with the founders of OPA to understand what the brand means to them, why the anti-slavery message is so important and why they want their products to make a difference.

Understanding their story helped him to work together with them to build strategy and development plans for all their business channels.

CREATE

Matt developed a tone of voice to appeal to their audience, choosing photo and behind-the-scenes video of music events, extreme sports events and video diaries as main content mediums.

Tapping into an already rebellious feeling audience with a social conscience, they've created #OnePlanet #OnePeople #OneLove campaigns.

MANAGE

The founders remain very much the driving force behind the brand's social media channels as they really have a passion for what they do, handling the day to day running and customer service aspect.

Matt is currently working together with them to build a more sustainable approach to their campaigns and regular posting.
