I started working with social media when I was firmly ensconced in a corporate communications career with a FTSE 100 company. In it's formative years many businesses had an inkling that social media was going to be important, but had no idea how or what they'd need to do to capitalise on the opportunity it represented. Some business still haven't grasped it's potential and as the social landscape is forever moving and changing like the swell of the ocean, it requires constant learning and application to get it right.
I started my own business in 2013 to focus on the community building and relationship forming opportunities that social media has to offer. I wanted to avoid the confusion with technology, industry jargon and the complicated explanations and statistics that I saw other experts sharing at the time.
My interest is firmly in identifying how you can use social media platforms to add value, tell your story, connect with your industry, engage with customers and ultimately discover how you can use social media to achieve great results for you, your business, brand or campaign.
I have rapidly become recognised within the industry for my value approach to social media and my ability to instill a social first culture within businesses. Working with global brands and small businesses alike, I have proved that my unique approach gets results and can work on any scale. I have also been invited to talk about my ideas, processes and practices at various educational institutions here in the UK.
